This came after Palestinian factions in Damascus called on Arab and Islamic stated to declare today (Tuesday) a day of anger and a general call to protect the Al-Aqsa. In a statement read by the Hamas’ politburo chief Khaled Meshaal, the factions leaders stressed the need for acting efficiently and seriously to defend Al-Quds and the holy Al-Aqsa mosque. Gazans took to the streets Tuesday to express outrage and support to the Palestinians in Al-Quds. Thousands of people carrying pictures of the Qibbat el-Sakhra (Dome of the Rock) raised Palestinian and Hamas flags and shouted anti-Israeli occupation slogans, calling for defending Al-Quds.
Speakers at the demonstration called for military operations in occupied territories. They demanded Arab leaders due to meet soon in Libya not to condemn Israel’s aggression but to take concrete steps that ascend to the level of the aggression. Speakers also asked Arab regimes: “Where are your fighter jets? Where are your tanks? Where are your rockets? Where are your armies to deal with this dangerous situation?”
There was mounting anger in Palestine and among Arab and Muslim peoples at the Arab and Islamic regimes for their indifference to the Israeli aggression on the holy Aqsa mosque, and Israel’s plans to build 1,600 new settler homes in occupied Al-Quds.
